American Home Energy Corporation

American Home Energy Corporation (AHEC), working with partner company American Energy Corporation (AEC), provides residential and commercial energy audits to Maryland Pepco and Delmarva Power customers. Working as a contractor for Pepco and Delmarva Power, they provide no-cost energy audits to homes and small businesses. Homeowners can take advantage of the Quick Home Energy Check-up (QHEC) and small businesses can request a Walk-Through Energy Assessment (WTEA). Through these programs, customers receive an energy audit of their home or business, over $200 worth of complimentary energy-saving products installed, a report with upgrade recommendations, and eligibility for upgrade rebates and incentives.

I joined AHEC as the marketing director in January 2013. I was responsible for all marketing activities within AHEC and AEC. I actively managed our Facebook and Twitter accounts, created and maintained PPC campaigns, found and attended local events to represent the business, coordinated with local newspapers to place ads in print and online, organized decorations and attendance at trade shows, directed bulk mailing efforts, and more. I interacted with community residents and business owners on a regular basis to educate them about our services and present our company in a positive light. I gained experience in several marketing mediums as well as in-person sales through this position.
